What materials really go into a piece of clothing?

To help explain the process and fabrication of Tentree’s four ‘Crown Materials’ we created a series of visually and sonically arresting and educational web videos. 

These short videos each conveyed a clear and simple narrative without the use of text or narration. Instead, we treated the viewer to a fun and easy to follow step by step story, shot in beautiful sunlit close-ups, of how the Tentree fabrics are derived directly from the raw materials. The rich and detailed sound design brought an immediacy to the pieces that gave the viewer the feeling they were partaking in the process. 

The result was an eye catching and satisfying pastiche of images: natural and recycled fibers, being worked and transformed by hand into the viewer’s favorite garment. These handmade facsimiles of the real life factory processes are fun and informative and provided the viewers with anticipation of relief at buying clothes guilt free at Tentree.
