BCAA

BCAA Stories

The goal

We set off to create a series for BCAA that went deeper than the standard "recruitment videos". We wanted to tell the stories of the real people that make up the organization.

& the result

What we ended up with was a series of thoughtful, emotional insights into the very real lives of the people at BCAA. Rick and Carmanah gave us incredible access into their lives beyond just work, and helped us show the very human side of the large organization.

The Whole Story

The Recruitment series we created for BCAA featured two real employees featured in candid and cinematic mini documentary style videos. We wanted to tell the stories behind the real people at BCAA.

What we did

1

Creative

We conducted a series to pre-interviews to find the perfect stories to tell. After many phone conversations, we finally landed on the amazing Rick and Carmanah.

2

Production

With only a single shoot-day for each story, we planned the project to perfection, moving seamlessly between a variety of locations while capturing compelling moments.

3

Photography

An integral part of our overall project, we captured the human side of our subjects perfectly. The photos needed to help tell the overall story, as well as be a part of our overall delivery.

4

Deliverables

Creating a variety of videos and photography assets from just a couple of shoot days was key. Our final delivery included two longer format videos, several short formats for social media, and dozens of still photos.

A little more...

This recruitment series featured two real employees in candid, cinematic documentary style videos. We wanted to tell audiences about their backgrounds and the different ways BCAA has helped shape their lives today. Through several extensive pre-interview phone conversations, we were able to get a sense for our subjects before production to create a clear vision of the story we wanted to tell. Travelling to Victoria and Abbotsford, and having only a single day to shoot for each story, we had to maximize schedules in order to both get a strong interview and the appropriate B-roll in several locations. Above all it was important for us that we captured genuine, real moments that were true to their story.

The Socials

Social media is a part of every marketing campaign. In addition to the video series that would live on the BCAA recruitment web pages, we created several short versions for all major social media channels, as well as a photography series that was to be used on landing pages, as well as social posts over time.
